Project Description

One of the classic horror/comedy movies of all time is Mel Brookes “Young Frankenstein”.  I have always loved this movie, and have wanted to do a parody tribute piece on it for a while.  Instead of having the actual monster, I represented the monster as the Hot Rod that Frederick, and Eye-Gore are cruizin.  Since the movie was done as a black and white, I keep the monochromatic feel, but pump it up a bit with some kool violet.  This entire piece is 100% freehand, with all highlights being done as removal techniques on the canvas with erasers, and blades. This is definitely my favorite monochromatic piece to date.
